Why attend Atlantic Beach Elementary?
Atlantic Beach Elementary is situated on a beautiful campus central to Old Atlantic Beach. This elementary school was built in 1939 and has served for generations as a neighborhood school for local families of Atlantic Beach. Under Kim Wright's leadership the school currently receives an A+ status.

What are the school hours?
Official hours are from 8:30am to 3:00pm. Before and after care are provided by the school for a fee. See the link for aftercare on this site under Parents and also visit After School Enrichment for more options.

What is currently going on with Campus Enhancement?
The school recently received a face lift by the school board. Local families and the City of Atlantic Beach recently provided funding for new playground equipment, a track, landscaping and irrigation. Because of the size of the campus, Campus Enhancement remains an on-going process; see Special Projects for dates and times. If you would like to contribute time or resources, please contact the office, the PTA or any FABE (Friends of Atlantic Beach Elementary) member.

As a parent, how do I get involved?
Getting involved is easy. Please take a few minutes to call Kim Wright our school principal who will direct you towards efforts that match your interests. Also take time to speak with your child's teacher who may direct you to classroom level activities. The Parent Teachers Association is the perfect organization to begin your volunteer efforts. The PTA looks for hundreds of volunteer hours per year to help with the office, events, book drives and classroom readers.

How do I become a Business Partner?
Business Partners are welcome and should contact the PTA President for more information. ABE welcomes numerous new and returning partners each year. We appreciate our business partners and provide them with name recogniztion on our site.
